The quail (part one)

As I was waiting to pick up my son the other day, I was in amazement of a family of quail. Here they are in the front yard of a worn down trailer and they were feasting. The yard was full of garbage, dog poop, dirt and weeds.Yet that did not stop them from enjoying the provision that was there. While across the street, was natural landscape, with a wash running through it. (Now, I live in Phoenix, so of course the wash was dry). Yet there were bushes and plants and even some mesquite trees. But these quail were not in this environment eating. They were in "the dump" eating. I was reminded of the scripture," Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they?" Matt 6:26
First I thought of how God provides. Simply, He provides. We may think that, why here, why this. But it is God's provision. His way.  He provides in ways that we may think, aren't desirable. Here these quail are eating, in abundance in "the dump". What we look at with the human eyes, God sees ENTIRELY different. He sees PROVISION. Everything is His, and His provision, no matter where it comes from is still PROVISION. What I saw as "the dump", these quail saw as abundant provision.
In my flesh, I would have much rather been in the beautiful wash across the street. It was pleasing to the eyes, and seemed a great source of provision. But with God, He knows what is the BEST place for us, and our provision.
God ways are higher and beyond my comprehension, so instead of trying to find "the more desirable" place, I desire to look, for the "God place" for me. He knows what I am in need of, before I do. He knows my future. So the places He takes me for provision, are all part of that.
These quail, didn't look for beauty, they look for where the provision was. And where the provision was, WAS BEAUTY.
Finding beauty from the Lord in all things.
